I agree. You spend $60,000 on a truck and they ***** about a $20.00 dollar difference.

how much does on injector cost? right.. and we try to save 10 dollars on a filter. I get it too even though I am just as guilty of being cheap as the next guy.

I have always used the better filters, this last order, got a three pack of the fleetguard 16035, good price on Amazon. Now oil, well now thats a bit different , although I do use major brands, but no synthetics , but that has been established :D

I have literally spent thousands of $$$ with Geno's. I have started buying all my air, fuel and oil filters from AMAZON. all filters are Mopar, FleetGuard or Raycor.

TOO darn much difference in price!

I just have never seen anything great about the prices at Genos. I have bought a couple things, but just don't see any advantage to using them for anything.

Ok here's Zinga ratings. I use the AE-03AZL on My Auxiliary System, The chart shows that filter will get 50% of 5mics & 98.7% of 24mics on the first pass and it will absorb 7.2oz of water, the more water it absorbs, the bigger the restriction until it curtail 100% of the flow, I ask at what PSI that rating used, their reply is that the best the filter can do up to 50PSI.

You legally cannot sell this filter for direct injection filter certification (Combustion fuel delivery), Its possible to curtail the flow 100% , Fed law prohibits this..This clearly shows that and spin-on must have bypass ability, the canister filters get by this by allowing x% to bypass 100% of the time. You want your canister filter to be the final filtration to combustion to assist the secondary filter, and the more filters prior to the final filter canister the cleaner the combustion fuel.

I'm very surprised Aqua-zorb filters aren't better known amongst the TDR group....this is the main (OK, the ONLY) reason I have fuel delivered to the house, added filtration is worth it's weight in gold especially when you consider the cost of the multiple fuel systems we fuel on a regular basis. Friends and select family have a hard time understanding why I do this given the fuel isn't really any cheaper getting it delivered like this. The only exception here is buying fuel right before winter (heating season) hits, when you buy 300-400 gallons at summer prices you do
save a few bucks when heating oil jacks up the price of fuel. But we generally get burned on the back end so there really is no advantage on price alone.

Still well worth it in the long run IMO.

Here' mine...We also have the same filter at the Shop Tank in MV MN. Many have followed the Advice Given JR , you just don't read much about it.. I tell most to just comment and enjoy the No worries, .its like this 106 to 7 Seven with 1.00 left in the 4th QT, and the and losing teams cheerleaders are still screaming for a WIN. and So go's it with the filter wars.

Their prices are good, shipping is a little high. The great thing is their knowledgeable staff and sourcing of hard to find quality parts.

Have not price matched a lot of things on Genos, but $120 plus shipping for the pair of mopar fuel filters is enough to keep me away. Usually can stay within $70-90 on Amazon ,and free shipping.

Filters do not require a knowledgeable sales staff, just a part number. . Hence, any order taker can fill your needs. Try buying the latest revision water pump ( Cummins no less) for the price Genos charges. The little things, whether they be trinkets, sensors, choice of mfg in many parts, ccv maint kits, etc make the difference for me. Great service has value.

Great service does have value, but with todays internet , service for me is only valuable in how well they deliver, and price. I buy very little that I haven't searched out, and know what I want. That goes from fly tying materials to parts for my truck.

I only mentioned the fuel filters for reference . I could search out a water pump, and maybe Genos will be competitive , but most likely that same water pump will be elsewhere with free shipping. They are just not the only game in town.

I never said they were the only game in town. Just highly qualified.
Don’t talk about, do it. Show me a competitive price on the pump.

Did you miss " Genos may be competitive" , if you know different just say so. I am not the one that brought up water pumps.I just mentioned fuel filters, and Genos price is terrible.

The family that owns Geno's owns this site, They have refused to sell out to Verticalscope and Autoforums many times, I will spend My $ were I know it go's to good use...Grocery Buying on a permanent scale ends up in costing More over the course of time.

If You call Geno's they may disclose the under the table selling that happens in the filter Business, They May even direct you to by the same filter at another Vendor...I do share your concern on the cost and I know Geno's does as well.

It's simple for me, I have the time now, and I will search the best price on just about anything.

I would focus More on Place of Origin, than the price. China junk and imposers are sold everywhere.

I appreciate your concern, as far as what we are talking about, it's just a pair of OEM Mopar fuel filters.

I do understand that China does put out some junk, but Sailun RV tires come to mind, you may be aware of their reputation ,and you may not, but they are far from junk from China.

As said I have time to search products, and get the best price, let me add here, if possible. I hope that clears that up

Dealerships have made quite the business out of online sales the last few years. It's going to be hard to find a lower price on OEM parts (including filters) when they're being supplied directly from ma Mopar. That being said I appreciate Geno's services, it would be difficult finding another vendor with better knowledge of both OEM and aftermarket parts for any one specific platform. Admittedly I do buy filters elsewhere but just about everything else comes from them.

No I didn’t. I also didn’t miss “I could search out a water pump and maybe Genos would be competitive but I could probably find one with free shipping”. Stop talking and do. Show me the latest revision Cummins sourced water pump at Genos price with free shipping. Nobody I’ve seen sells original Cummins branded parts for less than Genos.

I can end this right now.

Attention all TDR Members...

Hear ye hear ye! On this day, let it be known.....Cummins2014 cannot justify paying Geno's prices for fuel filters!

(please disseminate this message for those out of earshot of the town-square soapbox)

Also, please see previous announcement that Cummins2014 cannot justify the cost of synthetic oil.
