Off Roading my new race sled!!

Competition Finally got the 47RE in.

yes thats exactly what im looking at doing, i wanted to make a equal length long arm kit, about 4' links should do. i want to do the triangulated 4linnk in the back but might not get to it this year. i have a complete drawn up plans to do it but need to apply it. took me 2 weeks and over 60 hrs to get right. i almost did that with the top arm and long low one. but figured if i was doing it i might as well do it right. got any pics for ideas, my friend has a dic cepek long arm kit i like but new ideas would be cool.

The only reason i'm shying away fromt he triangualated rear is that it has no choice but to eat rubber or urethane bushings and heims make for a rougher ride. (talking about the top two triangulated links).

I haven't put anything on paper yet, but i've though about it for countless hours at work. I have some sketches on the tables at work that i've even had to explain a few times. Like I said in the last post, With no more suspension travel than I have in mind, (3" lifted to 10" lifted) i'm seriously thinking about the short link on top of the front axle and the longer back to the transmission with a subframe to attach to.

The Cepek kit has the parts in a full kit or just for the front I believe. 48" arm or you can request longer. I don't quite like the frame brackets though. $500 for the front kit alone. I haven't looked at the rear setup on your truck in a while. I need to look at it again. Think about the long arm/short arm idea some. You could score some spring mount brackets from an 80's model F-250 front end that could be bolted on and then you'd only need the two longer arms because two of your older arms would be re-used. It would sacrifice some travel but your axle would no longer move to the rear like it does now. Oh yeah. I like the doubler Idea too. $$$$ though.
