My wife and I each have a straight up cell phone, mine is used very little and hers is used for her business.
I use mine like a Jitterbug, but will take the occasional photo with it and Bluetooth it over to my laptop.
I would not be without one after spending hours at truck stops waiting in line for an open pay phone back in the day... ... ..... #@$%!
I only buy Motorola cell phones, they have the most power and in a fringe area behave much better. Get a truthful cell phone sales person and they will tell you the very same thing.
I get my Internet fix from my wireless network at home which runs her PC, her Nook Book, my laptop, my I-pod touch and the I-pad (which is simply amazing).
So we are tech savvy but don't find a smart phone necessary or a good value.
My wife hates the average operating system but simply blazes on the I-pad. It is very intuitive and I would recommend it or an I-phone to anybody instead of a smart phone.
I purchased the I-pad 3G model once I discovered that I could buy 3G service only as needed in one month blocks of time.
So I will activate it for one month in March as we will be traveling and it will come in handy.
That made far more sense to me than some expensive smart phone contract. That way I only buy what I need.
Mike.
