I had to search for three days to find the tow/haul specs for my (new to me) 2010 CTD. I finally found the answer here on TDR.

Nowhere in my (PDF) manuals can I find fuel tank capacity, transmission capacity, washer fluid capacity. Nothing.

Am I looking in the wrong places? Where do you get this information? Does it really have to be this hard? This is so incredibly aggravating.

well fuel tank is 35 washer tank is just a hair over a gal not sure on transmission thou but most is easy It's in the back of the manual . I Believe

Do you have OEM DVD manual? Mine has capacities and fluid specs listed for all HDs and C&Cs. Chap 4.

♦♦ SAE 5W-30 engine oil approved to MB 229. 31 or MB 229. 51 may be used when SAE 5W-20 engine oil is not available.

♦♦♦♦ Use good quality diesel fuel from a reputable supplier in your vehicle. Federal law requires that you must fuel this vehicle with Ultra Low Sulfur Highway Diesel fuel (15 ppm Sulfur maximum) and prohibits the use of Low Sulfur Highway Diesel fuel (500 ppm Sulfur maximum) to avoid damage to the emissions control system. For most year-round service, No. 2 diesel fuel meeting ASTM specification D-975 Grade S15 will provide good performance. If the vehicle is exposed to extreme cold (below 20°F or -7°C), or is required to operate at colder-than-normal conditions for prolonged periods, use climatized No. 2 diesel fuel or dilute the No. 2 diesel fuel with 50% No. 1 diesel fuel. This will provide better protection from fuel gelling or wax-plugging of the fuel filters.

This vehicle is fully compatible with biodiesel blends up to 5% biodiesel meeting ASTM specification D-975.

CAUTION: Nominal refill capacities are shown. A variation may be observed from vehicle to vehicle due to manufacturing tolerance and refill procedure.

Ahhhh Come on BOB!!!! thats the MOST info you can find? And I thought that YOU of all people would find SOME info for him!!!! :-laf

Whew! I thought I missed the question on this thread after seeing the emails w/ the capacities... then I see where you actually ahd found the info here on the TDR and were just commenting on how hard the info is to find. That's why I alway buy the OEM manuals when I puchase a vehicle. Last year I bought a 1970 Monte Carlo and purchased what I thought was OEM service manual... not. It was a Haynes... Haynes = Pains. They are nearly worthless. I did finally find the factory ones and what a difference.

Anyway, TDR is a greatsource of info and friendly folks to provide it.

Take care and Merry Christmas!
