The one SAG2 lists in his post above is the lower radiator outlet hose 68166470AD. Genos has it for $34.95. The parts "book" picture does indeed show a straight hose with no Y for both of these hoses. This would be the correct lower hose for a 2013-2014 truck with dual radiators. I am not aware of any lower hose Y fittings leaking. Has anyone experienced this?

The upper radiator inlet Genos (and Mr Brockman) shows as 52014722AB for $77.95. The part number appears to have superseded to an AD suffix. One for $64.08 on Ebay. Only fits 2013-2014 with the dual radiator set up.

Just to cover all the basses the upper hose (2015-2017 single radiator) without the plastic Y is 68227796AA, $68.00 at Genos, and the lower hose without the Y is 68227797 $21.95 at Genos.

Good parts guys are rare these days sag2. LOL

I had a plastic hose clamp crack on my top Y while on a road trip. All I did was put a normal screw type hose clamp over top of the plastic clamp and carried on with my trip till I was home and then got it fixed when it suited me.
Are the failures that you guys are referring to due to the plastic clamp or the body of the Y itself??

The OEM hose and wye is only $41 retail. I think I might just throw one in the truck if you were worried. The average weekly demand is 43 so the failure rate seems pretty high for two model years of trucks.
For some reason they felt the need to have the duel radiators to keep things cool. They changed back to single in 2015.

I did this a few months ago (5-6 months ago) at the recommendation of Bob4x4.

Haven't had a failure, but I hear the plastic Y is the weak link.

I think the top will likely blow before the bottom. So I only bought the top.

So Kirwin...are you saying one 2015 hose can make two hoses for the 14? Thinking more on this, maybe the one hose replaces the wye on the straight portion and the other is just reused?

That is my thought exactly. I haven't tried it yet but it makes sense to me that if I were going to fix this, and I am eventually going to, I would buy the aluminum fitting, and only need the single 2015 and later hose with a section cut out and reuse the other hose off the Y that goes to the secondary radiator. The primary radiator hose must be long enough to not put any force on the radiator with the engine pulling hard because the radiator is mounted to the body.

I will call tomorrow and determine what they charge for shipping and handling. I don't mind the $159 so much as some vendors are really expensive. Buying the hose separately might be cheaper than thru them. Of course the S&H might be the same either way. Also need to check on a Gates hose locally. Pennies or a few dollars won't matter but most of us have probably been hit with S&H being 30-40 bucks for a small item.

Regarding Hose Clamps Whatever you do be sure and use the factory style hose clamps on the plastic radiator necks . Do not use the traditional stainless worm gear clamps as replacements as they put pressure on the neck under the screw and can crack the plastic radiator neck then you are really in deep you know what ! Just re use your old clamps if still serviceable I try to never over expand them when taking off a hose and always use a smooth tipped hook tool to break the bond around the entire circumference of the hose that will prevent breaking the plastic neck as well . Cars and trucks nowadays are sure fragile and it can get expensive real fast just making one dumb mistake

I bought the aluminum part from the website I gave because nobody else had them in stock and it was on sale for the 4th of July holiday. I think I will maybe buy the 2015-16 hose if the pricing is less than buying the two Gates and cutting them. I'll price it out and see.
I do have a question for you guys though...what kind of coolant are you guys using in these 4th Gens? I know I was using HOAT in my 3rd Gen but it wasn't "Purple 10 Year" like the dealership called out for this truck. I know this stuff is really expensive so where are you getting it and how much are you paying? Sorry to hijack my own thread.

By the way...to follow up on a question...my WYE cracked at the joint between the pipes and not at where the plastic doughnut clamp is on the rubber hoses. It still frosts me that there is a plastic part there in the cooling system. Yes I know the radiator tanks are plastic and not happy about that either! C'mon RAM!
