I'm another member who's on the way out.

I have nothing but good thoughts of TDR, and will return again some day in the future.

We sold our last Dodge/Cummins, and I don't have the time to keep up with the reading online just for fun.

FWIW, the fellow we sold out 01 to is now a TDR member, and loving his "new" truck with over 235,000 miles, and many more to go.

We have kinda hijacked this thread by telling TDR staff what we 1st Gen's would like in upcomming TDR magazines, so I will add to it.

A recent thread entitled "dying Getag 400 mi from home" by Moab4X4 (Ken) was very interesting and helpful. If possible I would like to see a reprint of that information with pictures in a future TDR magazine. If possible it would be nice for TDR to expand on the info given by Ken with even more detailed instructions on how to rebuild a Getrag five speed transmission, and where to purchase parts.

Hope this is in the relm of TDR possibilties.

Thanks TDR for being there for us 1st. Gen. CTD's. Much appreciated !.

Bob:)

I for one do not mind hijacking of threads, I don't consider it hijacking, I call it a discussion. Any imput or discussion anyone wants to contribute to one of my threads is OK with me. :)

I still tell people I meet about TDR. I am sure that for the newbies, this is THE place to learn about the 1st gen. I don't respond to all the newbie questions as I once did.

Take it from a true noob, the knowledgeable and helpful people on this site have helped so much, and the more I learn the more useful the site becomes, so thank you 1stgen4ever, and all the other in the know who help out people like me.
