Here I am

Competition Drugs, twins, west vs east, etc.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Competition EGT while racing

Competition O-ring or Studs

Yep the SINGLE turbo blew up and it still made 787HP.

This engine actually had a load on it from the drivetrain and dynojet rollers.

The engine that blew a head gasket was on an engine dyno that has much less load.

Even with the twin turbos the other brand engine made 50HP less than the daily driven DD truck.

Man, & I thought that this event would be worth the 4 day (one way) drive just for the B. S. & camaraderie. Now I'm not sure I want to loose almost two weeks of work just too hear a bunch of east verse west *****ing going on, who knows what you all say about us Cunucks. especially the west coast ones. Is there even going to be a two wheel drive pull?

Your not kiddn', I haven't heard this much :{ :{ :{ :{ :{ and:-{} since I took the neighbor kids GI Joe toy... ... ... ... ... ... ... when I was like... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..... 4 YEARS OLD!!!!!

I was goin' ta Muncie ta race and pull, but now I'm goin' just ta watch the fist-fights. :-laf :-laf :p :p

Later, Rob

My signature tells you what I say about ONE Canada dude from the NORTH west.

I would n't worry about fights Piers, the criers will stay in Texas and Vegas I'm sure.

Now let me tell you about the French.

Gene---you're too funny trying to make something out of nothing--"we don't add 2 pulls together to inflate... " those were the rules for MM--we didn't have anything to do with it, you know you have to follow the rules if you want to participate---so make sure you have the facts before you start ripping us---

--also we all saw Jason's truck(NW Customs) and Bill Kondolay's truck snap a yoke and u-joint---so does that mean they have the same power as Dave Mitchell or maybe they have more, cause they broke parts just like Dave-and maybe the rest of us have less since we didn't break--we have been led to believe that the Mitchell trucks are mongrels when it comes to power-maybe they are, but then maybe they're not, if we are breaking the same parts--makes you wonder--what's definite is we will see how everything turns out in the near future---I want to say good luck to all and I hope you don't break---chris

I don't understand

At least one Western truck is showing up to compete.

The Eastern truck owners are telling us how the Mitchells make the power, but the Mitchells won't be there.

Easterner: "My uncle can whip you" (not whoop, that is a kind of yell). Westerner: "Can you whip me?" Easterner: "That doesn't matter, my uncle can whip you. " (or maybe whoop is right, the kind of yell the easterners will make when they lose (not loose, the opposite of tight). Interestingly, the uncle is not going to be there, hasn't made any claims at all. Yet the Easterners are talking about someone whom they know won't be at Muncie.

Jim, if you win by 0. 0001 feet, that is a LOT, according to the Easterners, and 19 feet might as well be a pull to another planet.

Piers, I agree. These guys would rather fight than switch, and we aren't talking about a brand of cigarettes here.

Piers,

I think everything you said is true. I know that for Gene and I, and Don I think too, it is nothing more then fun just poking at each other. I will be going to have a great time, not to ruin someones fun at the cost of thinking a certin vendor makes more power. Like Stefan said, it is the fun of making friends, and sharing info, this is why Thunder in Munice exists. Too meet new folks, and have fun with our trucks. :D

Andrew

Nothin serious about adding them together, we just got a laugh, thats all.

I wasn't talking about the occasional u-joint, I was talking about big parts.

There are parts that fail when you reach certain levels of power.

Until I start seeing them discussed on the boards, I know nobody has reached those levels.

of course, you have to DO something with the truck.

WHO has led you to believe they are mongrels?

I have never heard the Mitchells say a bad word about any other vendor, can the others say the same? I know some can't, they badmouthed Dave to me.

Don,

You seem to keep making points and arguments to things I never said!

And where excatly do you get all this privelaged info about DD? From Dr. Joe?

Straight from DD?

You predict Jim will beat me.

DUH!

He had better!

I built mine to finish well and drive to work Monday, money was an object, a big object, and mileage. I'm still running those itty bitty 370 inj and a 180 pump for cryin out loud! He has at least 250 hp on me.

Doesn't mean I'm rollin over Jim!;)

Dyno runs? We all know DD's dyno is the only one to count, you and Joe have preached that for months, so why in the world would we get on this one?

I know nothing about the dragracers, who will show.

I'm not sure why you keep going on about it when you are not even going?

And even if you go, you won't compete.

Piers, Im just having some fun. Most fellas here know Im just joking around.

Now back to the fun... ...

Remembering back to just short of two years ago I read about the turbos that the Mitchells would blow up one after another on the pulling track. Does Dave Mitchell not hold the record for huffing turbos?

Now lets move forward a few months and all of the sudden the twin turbos begin to show up on the Mitchell trucks.

Newsflash..... Pius Eberle of Stockton CA was building hybrids, twins and even triples years ago for the Western pullers long before the Mitchells ever even owned a Cummins diesel truck. Heck Pius was building twins turbos before Dodge ever put a Cummins in a pick-up truck.

So really the plagiarism happened long ago. Pius IMO is the single best turbo fella that ever God did make. I think the Mitchells figured it out too:rolleyes:

Indiana is starting to step on Ohios toes.

.

That was my first post Joe, nothing about Mitchells there, your pal Don keeps bringing them up, and I stated a month ago they were not going.

There are many, many trucks in the midwest that run very well and Mitchell has not touched them.

He has touched part of mine, so I suspect, well, I KNOW FOR A FACT that is why Don runs them down.

They are scheduled for Scheids, and Mr. Fuller has been kind enough to promise us with his appearence there also.

I am not sure why Don keeps bringing his Uncle Lawrencee into this? Do you know?

Bottom line, Joe and Don have tried their best to discredit every other truck, person , vendor, that is not with DD.

What they did to Jim Fuller this spring was an excellent example of this behavior.

I have watched it for a year, and it only has gotten worse.

See? There he went again!!!

sigh,

I have stated before, multiple turbos are no secret.

Making them function properly on our trucks takes some R&D.

Gene,

Calm down there buddy. I am mearly saying the HP claims you make for the Mitchell's are just a tad inflated.

This is not serious for me one way or the other. I am not compensated by DD and just get a laugh watching you get worked up.

Oh, if you feel that Jim will beat you on the pulling track and Loretta only beat you by 19 feet... Im guessing the Mitchells would lose at Muncie to Jim Fuller as well.

Just a guess though;) Remember I dont know the first thing about pulling.

Jim Fuller dynoed about 560HP on diesel and Gene says the HP spread is about 250HP. This leaves about 310 HP for your truck Gene. I guess you were on a budget huh? Dude, your toast:)

From this point on I will remember your HP handicap and take it easier on ya.

Now where is that Hammer fella? Do you think he will go to the DDHA (Diesel Dynamics Haters Anonymous) meetings with you and Andrew? msmtd can go as well.

Don~

We don't hate DD, I have a lot of respect for the owner.

We do, however, have a club that meets once a week, and discusses what Joe and Don have posted, we all get a good laugh, it takes years off of our lives, relieves stress!

:D

BTW, I am pretty sure, that an engine dyno CAN load the engine.

Ive heard of the tupperware parties you have. Popcorn popping (with Amsoil) and beer drinking. Sounds like fun.

I have an idea, why dont I bring the building blocks, tonka truck and mock sled to one of the meetings?

I like popcorn and beer so... . whatcha say Gene?

An engine dyno does not load the engine down like a driveline and a dyno roller would. We are getting somewhere though cuz I see you are begining to think about the HP on the engine dyno being slightly low when compared to the rear wheel power on the DD ride. Oh, BTW Jim Fuller may have picked up a few ponies since the guys at DD had a look see and found some components that were less than par under the hood.

Don~

Johnboy, Are you pulling at Munice?

I wish I could say for sure that I was or not. I would really like to be at Muncie this year, but we are crazy busy right now and I don't see things slowing down for a couple of months. If I do come I will probably be driving all night Friday to get there. Right now it's looking like I'll be pulling at the Buck that night as it's way closer. We'll see.

Don, quick math problem for you. I pulled with Gene a couple of weeks ago and he beat me by about 20 feet. Now you were able to determine from your mathematical computations that he has around 310 hp. Work the math and see where I am, I'm really curious. Thanks for your help.

+++it takes years off of our lives+++

Gene, you better quit discussing Don and me, or you will die tomorrow :p

+++Bottom line, Joe and Don have tried their best to discredit every other truck, person , vendor, that is not with DD. +++

Not true. This type of radical, mean spirited, incorrect statement is what causes these extended threads and :-{}

Check my signature. Notice there are two other vendors on it. And, they are by no means the only two other vendors I respect and have frequently made positive statements about.

I believe it was 23 feet John.

Don,

I know you like to play with toys~, but we play with real trucks back here.

I'm sure we can scare up a sled or two.

We could set it real light, like the western sleds, and film you pulling it thousands of feet.

Then you could have some cool footage for your fan club member. :p

Gene correct me if I'm wrong, but Don, Mitchell has been running twins for several years now. He would huff ONE of them.

And yes we all know that Pius is the turbo god!

Andrew

Allright Joe, I apologize for that.

Do me a favor, go back and read some of your posts that involve DD VS anybody and hp and dynos with an open mind.

I know Gene has more than 310 HP. At least I hope he does.

He was the one who stated he had 250HP less than Jim Fuller and Jim had 560 at May Madness. This leaves 310.

So in closing Im betting you could subtract 250HP from 560 HP and get the same number yourself:p

If not... I will make one of the meetings and along with showing Gene the above mentioned reasons the pullers are not making what he thinks they are I will teach you to subtract at the same time. I think:rolleyes:

Another way to look at it without even getting math involved would be to realize that Gene beat you by 20 feet and lost to Loretta by 19 feet. Gene said he was on a budget for HP gains and was not beaten by Loretta by very much. This makes your HP less than Gene that was on a budget. It also shows that the EE truck was not making too much power to be only 19 feet ahead of a low budget truck:D :D

This is too funny.

Don~
