Competition EGT while racing

Competition O-ring or Studs

Since the moderators are on a lock down spree, I have to answer Jim over here!

Jim,

I will trust you when you say your drugs will be off during the pull.

Mostly becuase you have some Mitchell parts on there!;)

The funny thing about it, is Jim and I will BOTH be underdogs at Muncie, if some of the trucks show that I think will.

Indiana is starting to step on Ohios toes.

I believ the West coasters have just realized that 400 hp clean burn is not enough to win competitions back here.

History will be made this year as the west once again follows the east in what they will call " new advances" in diesel hp.

Twins will be their first step. Then they will start looking for RPM.

are all these super HP trucks in the Mid West daily drivers--- I know all of the west coast trucks are---concerning sled pulling

will there be classes or will everyone who shows up be in the same class--trailer queens included

950 hp minus 20% drivetrain loss equals 760 hp at the rear wheels, plus it blew---not to far ahead of us west coasters that didn't blow---DD had 787hp rear wheel HP so that's more than you midwesterners--yes they blew too--

that's all folks... . chris

Let's just hope the track is better this year... maybe we'll actually be able to get hooked in. Last year my truck looked like it had been thru the sand dunes... lol. Oh well, it'll be fun regardless.

BTW: my Puller is as streetable as my 01, and pretty much every other puller around is the same way.

lol, i guess this thread should keep us on topic. :D

gene

i love being a under dog, it's always more fun to show up and do well when nobody thinks you can. i do have mitchell's twins and they work great!!! but diesel dynamics is sponsering my truck now. so other than my twins all my power is made by diesel dynamics and edge products. so other than my air, my truck is a full blown west coast truck!!!

geez all these big 12v bully's are picking on my little ol 24v. :(

in the open classes in the east, how do the 24v do against you big bad 12v?

jim

Fuller has crossed the line!!

DD jumped on a truck that had some Mitchell parts so they had a chance, eh?

The few 24's that are around do fine. Of course, they are from THORNVILLE!

But 12 valves are Kings.

Chris,

There are no super High HP west trucks truck pulling, of course they had better be streetable!

I expect a few all out pullers, some I have never seen before.

Keep in mind Mitchells trailer toater put it to several pull only trucks last year at Scheids.

Scheids themselves have been a Sleeping Giant in the truck pulling world, if they decide to throw some time at a 5. 9, hold yer hats on!

Oh look, how many west coast pullers are running twins already?

++DD jumped on a truck that had some Mitchell parts so they had a chance, eh?++

Gene, why do you always have to throw in a nasty dig? Even an incorrect one?

Jim was being polite about not saying how the other brands of injectors performed against DD. He doesn't want to stoop to your level.

As I have stated before, we Westerners have fun, enjoy competing, and don't find it necessary to slam and sneer on this forum. If you check old threads, you will find Fuller competes fairly, and never gives an excuse or whines if he is not top dog.

Joe,

Why do you jump into conversations you were not part of?

Jim and I get along just fine.

If I recall, a lot of westerners were crying like rats eating onions when that little old man from Pennsylvania in a beat up PSD went to Tulare and spanked them all.

DD jumped on Fullers truck because half the battle was won--a proven twin system. (Something you are working on, no doubt)And he is willing to travel, something their ACE 12 valver is skeered to do.

And it gets them into the real competition, what trucks do- pull weight.

You are correct most of those guys don't slam and sneer, Just the ones from Southern Nevada, eh?

:D

Read the archives, ol buddy, do a search under "Joe Donnelly"

That guy is ruthless.

****************************************************

Now Moderators, Joe and I are just funning about, bench racing if you will, the topic title covers this, and it IS in the competition forum and nothing has been said that would not get said in person, nobody's feelings are hurt, nobody is mad,

It is good, clean racing fun.

So don't be lockin this one!Oo.

I'll see you in Muncie!

gene

i love your last line!!!

guys everyone can say what they want, i will let me truck do the talking. i've heard the phrase talk is cheap and tdr lives up to that to a tee!!!!

i was very flattered to join ranks with diesel dynamics, mitchell's twins and dd's cam really compliment each other. it's scary how fast the power comes on now.

i can't wait for muncie

Thats the first ever thread I have closed in this forum. And it was only because it was clearly not about "about dual turbos" anymore... . and who knows where it was heading.

Just keep it semi-civil and this one stays open.

I beg to differ, two twin turbo guys were discussing racing, and it got good, no biggy.

I forgive you Kat, your still young!:D

Age is not always tied to maturity levels. I know of several fellas in their mid 30's that have yet to get a grip on reality or reach a level of maturation of most of us. :p

I have observed that Kat has gone through some changes for the better in the last few months and is showing he will be a mature acting older adult and has the abilty to reason. Although after thinking about it most people dont have the brains to tie their shoes until after about 40.

Don~

edit- The West will give the Mid-West a lesson in HP and maturity that will start the crying, whining, and tearing of clothes. Gene, bring yourself a few of those Amsoil t-shirts to change into after the smoke clears. Maybe few pairs of underpants too. :D

Mitchells parts arn't really in house, is DD going to sell a good version of the twins as in-house only?

How long has DD been around? EE has been there for over 14 years. I would have to say the they are the original high HP trucks.

When it comes to Munice, I'll be rooting for the east, but I still feel I have to root for Jim cause he is a 24v.

Ment in a light hearted way,

Andrew

P. S. Hey Mr. Mitchell, want to sponcer a 24v?:D

I just fell out the chair!

"US" would imply you consider yourself one of the mature group.

DOES THIS MEAN DD HAS PIRATED MITCHELL'S TWINS ALREADY?

******

""How long has DD been around? EE has been there for over 14 years. I would have to say the they are the original high HP trucks. ""

NOPE, TST, Mark Chapple, and Diesel Injection of Pittsburgh, Bruce Mallison, would be the pair that really got the ball rolling years ago. And prolly a few other low profile guys we never hear about.

I will root for Jim, because he is a great guy and deserves to do well, but I won't back off!!

Gene, it was a joke about the twins, but I'm sure DD is setting up a nice system now that they have seen a proven one.

Didn't Mark Chapple use to work for Cummins developing or doing something before he went and opened TST? DI has been doing this to big rigs for sometime, so I guess the HP wars started on the east coast. :p :D

Gene, I love those smoker class trucks, but I'm a 24v'er myself, so I got to root for him some, but my pick... ... ... ... .

If they show... . :(

Root for the East? Why? the East has no power for the most part.

Do you mean the Mid-West? Andrew you live in Texas Man. Your a traitor!:D

Oh well, rooting for the loosing side is ok too:eek:

Maybe we should CAN the West, East, Mid-West stuff and go by vendor.

Jim has a clear advantage with DD behind him. He will pull the weight with HP and not RPM like the Mid-West farmers do.

He has a set of good ladder bars, good tires, good transmission and lots of DD power.

On the twins thing. Just imagine how much power the DD boys would make if they gone to twins. They already stomp everyone with one turbo now and the best drivability at the same time.

Close your eyes and imagine if DD had started 14 years ago. The power would be so far ahead of everyone else its not even funny.

EE has been pounding away for 14 years and still cant make as much power. At least that I have seen.

Don, draw a line down Kansas, Oklahoma, and divide the country in 2. That is what I mean by East v/s West. Mid-West is still east of us(Don and I). But Don you from Idaho anyways so your already tilting that way! ;)

He has ladder bars yes, and tires. But that white EE truck is set up and runs mostly on a demonstration only class. He does not compete, only does it for show because he has such an advantige. Your telling me that is not power? He use to run Boggers I think, THOSE are some tires.

Now if DD had twins, it would look a lot like EE, only without handing out the sponcerships, and the dyno queens doing their thing! ;)

Andrew

Andrew,

Be sure and sit next to Gene during the pulls. He will have fresh shirts and undies for you guys who have leakies after the red truck of Jims shows you guys what MPH he can drag that sled down the track. :D With an auto trans to boot!!

I know geography well. It is you who is cheerleading for a region you dont live in. Not me. ;) Do you consider all states East of Okla. to be Eastern? Would this also include LA, AL, MS?

Dude, it aint so.

The report of the 950HP monster was from an engine dyno and like Chris Sutton pointed out the rear wheel power would be closer to 740. This is still about 47HP less than the single turbo DD truck. So you see my friend the black smoke is not always power. Actually a lot of that black smoke is just aldehydes.

They make no power when burned they just look cool. The white truck pulls good becasue it is close in HP to the DD trucks and looks good next to the trucks with less than 500HP he turns out of his shop.

No hard feelings Man. You can come back to the correct side anytime;) Uncle Toms abound these days:(

LMFAO!!! THAT is one of the funnest things I think I have read!

East of that line would be east, so yes. Then there is a difference in what I concider east, and "back east", which is what you are calling east. I just have a hard time calling something east of me mid-west. See my point? As far as cheering for regions, kinda, I root for EE, like you root for DD and Mr. Donnally, and now Mr Fuller.

Don, read that thread and find where I said belive 950hp. But who says his buddy is Mitchell's white truck? I would be willing to wager that most of "those" trucks coming out of his shop are over 500hp. I would bet the sled operators are a little more "forgiving" out West.

Uncle Tom... . LMFAO... again!!

Andrew

P. S. See how easy it is to do this, and SO much easyer to read then all caps. ;) :p :D

T-D Kid--if you call pulling a sled 250' put on full bore for a 4 engine sled pulling monster--then I guess they do take it easy on us--or pulling a different sled set up for CM pulling trucks (checkout www.cmpulling.com for the type of trucks)just as far as they do with the same setting, then you're dead on--but I think you're a little off base---plus on the some of the tracks out here the boys back east would shudder and drive away---I'm not sure Jim Fuller will win, but I do believe he will do well------chris
