Only one hoist and one person....
Hi Guys, I'm backed in a corner: Ian's truck went on the hoist and the trans came out, with an expected one week wait for the remaining parts, well it has been almost three additional weeks. Sometimes it just happens that way.
Mike's Vb showed up AFTER Ian's truck was on the hoist, and disabled. If I had known the rest of Ian's parts were going to be so late, then I would have waited and swapped the VB on Mikes truck first. My crystal ball was cloudy.
I have only one hoist and can't drag Ian's truck off the hoist by myself to get another truck on it, and don't want to risk damaging someones truck by dragging or pushing it with a tractor by myself.
Mike, we know your truck has been a real problem child, I'm hoping that the VB will cure the 'lazy-lockup'. We have covered everything else. The tps voltage has been checked and at least five different slight adjustments of the tps voltage have been test driven, with no change.
Here it is Monday afternoon, 4 PM, and UPS has not delivered the TC, even though I paid for faster shipping by air. I leave for work tomorrow [flying] so I'm stuck till next saturday when I get back from flying. I will still have many hours of work and testing and setting up of the trans before I [hopefully] can get it back into Ian's hands.
Trust me, I wish both trucks were done, and working right, and I could just get into the many other projects on the farm here. The grass and weeds never stop growing either.
Mike, I'm hoping that Ian will have his truck on Sunday, and you can drop your's off and I will get the VB swapped on Monday. This is the plan, sometimes it doesn't work out though, as we all know.
Take care guys, Sorry for the delays,
Greg L The frustrated trans guy.
Update: UPS showed up at 6 pm, too late to install the trans, I have to pack and get to bed, I have the alarm set for 0400 tuesday morning.
