Anyone know where I can find a split rear dual exhaust system for our trucks. Not the ones that go straight back, but rather the ones that exit on each side at an angle behind the rear wheels. Also, as far as installation, is there anything different that needs to be done because of the exhaust brake?

I know that Mark at Diesel Performance Parts sells a couple of different kits in a dual configuration. His shop is here in Nashville. A couple of us have been by, and he's a super nice guy to deal with. One of our club members has his stainless exhaust and LOVES it. It's expensive, but appears to be of the highest quality.

Hope that helps,

Andy

I know Diesel Power Products carries a dual system now, I haven't seen it though or know much about it except that it's stainless.

I haven't seen a gasser blow huge clouds of black smoke out both sides:) I had duals with 5" tips on my 95 2500, my 98 3500, and my 2001 F250. I decided not to do it on this truck and went with a 4". Then I saw a red 3500 4x4 like mine that had duals that I really liked, but too late.

I hear ya... I don't like duals on gassers either unless it's a true dual system... I tend to sway towards "form follows function"... the extra pipe does nothing for performance, it's just dead weight.

to each their own, like I said, personal preference... and I probably shoulda just kept my mouth shut. :(

Fred,

that's purty! The truck I bought last week has 5" stacks on it... I LOVE the way they sound, but they're a little on the obnoxious side from a "function" standpoint (unless the "function" is turning heads and showing off! LOL!)

anyhow, over xmas she's getting a straight 5" system with a 6" tip... tip will be straight cut and non-chrome. understated nastiness ;)

They are 19. 5 Goodyear's. Aloca wheels with adapters. Actually not anymore expensive than the other 19. 5 wheel options available. What can get expensive are the aggressive tall tires.

If you want the best of both, run the 5 inch exhaust with 2 mufflers. Loud enough to get noticed, but not drive yourself insane with drone.
