Dually lights to blink with Blinkers?

Title pretty much sums it up.



I'm looking for info on how to get the dually fender lights to blink with the blinkers/hazards.



I can do it with relays, but was hoping for something a little more simple, or pre-made.

Hook the ground wire to the turn signal wire. When the turn signals are on they will blink and ground through the tail light elements. When you have your running lights on, it ground through the turn signal element. You will never notice it or have any side affects. When you have your running lights on and use your turn signals, it will blink, it will go out because you will be applying positive to both wires. It works!!! This is how GM has wired their markers on their pickups front fenders in the past.

Neat. This is gonna be fun. I was already thinking of using naturally open, and naturally closed relays for this. I like how you think, LOL.



I'm thinking about converting the rear light on the tailgate to have the left and right side light blink for blinkers also.

During the day they will flash with the blinkers, with the running lights on they will run opposite of the blinkers. Like Hoefler said GM had the front corner markers on the 88-99 trucks set up that way.

Shouldn't be any problem at all.

with the lights on, the fender markers will go out when the brake is applied, if the wire is tied to the rear turn signals. But if you run the wire to the front and use the front for the trigger then they will stay on when the brake is applied, and flash when the turn signal is applied. So the trade off is if you want the signal to light with the brakes applied, or the markers to just flash when applied. What I am saying is they will go out when the brake is applied if you wire to the rear. This is what I found out doing my GM.

I have always wondered how to do this. Does not sound to hard of a job to get them blinking. So if I understand it correctly, take the ground from the fender markers and tie it to what the positive to the front blinkers? Does it matter if it's the positive or the ground on the front?

Mine was a LED light bar, two of them under the tail gate, above the bumper.

How would you get the cab clearence lights to flash with the unlock button on the key chain? it would be easier to find my truck in the parking lot.

Yes. You would need to run a wire from the front turn signals.

On the fender lights, you would need to disconnect the ground wire from the ground, then attach it to the positive ( power ) side of the turn signal light.

Since the parking light is only a two wire light, and has a blinker in it, will this still work? I was thinking of tieing into the trailer light turn signal instead.
