Competition Larger Valves

I know I have read it before but I am having a brain fart moment and can't remember the difference in corrected and uncorrected dyno #'s. Can someone refresh my memory.

I don't know but I'll guess that corrected numbers are raw numbers with things like elevation, temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure calculated in for a "standard" set of these conditions.

Clear like mud?

Corrected is factoring in all the parameters with the run like air temp, baro and humidity as mentioned above and uncorrected is just the raw numbers being produced at the wheels.

Be aware, though, that correction factors work best on naturally aspirated engines. Turbocharged engines don't lose power with altitude increases nearly as much as a naturally aspirated engine, so hot day/high altitude corrections will tend to overstate the hp obtained with a turbodiesel. That's why I quote uncorrected RWHP in my signature (not that it matters, since my truck is only set up as a trailer puller, not a dyno monster :{ )
