Hi guys... I would like to wait until I pull my trailer a few times to check whether or not EGTs are going to be a problem. I would like to have an exhaust brake installed before I pull the trailer though. My question is... If I go ahead and install an e-brake now, will it still fit when/if I need to go to a larger exhaust to reduce EGTs?? Am I correct that larger exhaust will reduce EGT? Will a BHAF help with EGT, or just more power?

I don't even have my gauges yet, but am trying to plan an order of progression. Money is limited, so I need to prioritize what I spend it on and when. Right now my exhaust is stock, and I am leaning toward a Jacobs brake.

Thanks

If you do not plan to upgrade a turbo at all, yes the current direct mount brakes replace the current elbow after the turbo, so any aftermarket exhaust will still work. The main reason to replace the exhaust is to remove the muffler restriction.

Stock HO under full throttle in 4th or 5th will hit 1200 F, just so you know.
