Will the 16x8 Eagle alloys fit on our trucks, and is the 8 part the size of our factory width, I know its a 16" rim, but not sure of the width, dont want to get into wrong size wheels rubbing my fender wells, would the 17x8's work without spacers, and does anyone know if I use either rim size would 265 BFG's like come on the 3rd Gens for tires work ok, I want some more height over what I got now which is 235's, thanks

I use the Eagle Alloy's 16 X 8 on my '98 with 315/75R16 BFG Allterrains and have been very pleased with both.

I believe for your '03 you will need to go with the 17" rims. :)

so 16x8's and 265 rugged trail BFG's for my 92 will be ok then? I could be happy with that. I would however like to use the 17x8's and same tire combo, if anyone knows the answer let me please thanks

If a couple inches of height is what you need, I just put a set of 255/85-16s on my factory wheels. I like the tall narrow look. Wide tires here are slick in the mud. We normally do not have really deep mud, not enough rain. What we usually wind up with is a very slick roadway, of course, that will help you find the ditch where there might be some deep mud! I also like the tall narrow tires in snow, might as well put a little weight on the traction patch and sink in. Glen

I have E A's (#058) in 16 X 8 with a set of LT 265 75 16's no problem. There's a picture of my truck in "Pics" with them on...

Thanks grey wolf thats what I was wanting to hear, 16x8's will be plenty, I just want to use that BFG 265 Rugged trail or Long trail something like that, same tire is on my 03, but its a 17" rim, 16's a plenty on my 92.

If you want thinner the 16x7's i'm running are it, don't think anybody makes a 6" alloy wheel, i looked for a LONG time. Readers rigs

i have the rugged trail tires on the wifes 03 xterra. worst tires ive ever seen on wet road. not sure how they are on a real truck. i cant imagine rubbing with only 265's. either wheel size should work. your tire will be the same size except the profile on the 17 will be lower. the wider tires will usually stick out further than the fenders and make a mess of the truck on wet and muddy terrain too. that bothers some people.

I dont understand, same diameter? I was hoping the 265's would be taller than the 235's I have now. And I've decided I'm going to try to put 17x8's on it if they will go so both trucks will have same wheel an dtire combo.

Yes, same diameter. The 235s have an aspect ratio of 85, where the 265s have an aspect ratio of 75. The 265 is a bit wider, but same diameter. www.Tirerack.com has a very user friendly site. Search for the tire you want, then click on the "specs", it will show you all of the pertinant specs for every size of that model tire, including diameter.

or you could go with a 315-75/16; that's what I have on my RC with a 16/8 US Wheel rim - here's a pic:
