Gene, I think the west coast has proven they can drag race, and you ain't seen nothing yet.

Yup and just wait, Comp4671 has already proven... . uh... ... oh wait..... nevermind! :D

BillGotthelf,

Haven't made it to the strip since I had major defueling issues, a VP-44 and was around 130 HP less.

Doug

All Differances aside, Dougs truck made the most HP ANYWHERE in the country. when you westerners beat it, then the east'll shut up, and for the east meets west, Joe, yea thats real fair we drive 3/4 the way across the country to amuse you?? not on my $$

How bout pony'n up and come east for once, or won't you'r "Numbers" hold up on an unbias dyno??

Show up in Muncie or don't open your mouth anymore.

Dougs the King , and untill proven elsewhere Thats all there is too it!!!!!

I guess I'm wierd or stupid, but I put diesel production engines in the compression ignition category. To me it really doesn't matter what it is compressing as long as the engine stays together. Is there something to be said for #2 only power? Sure. But when it comes to finding out just how much power per cubic inch can be created, I'm open to anything. I don't know too many drag racers running pump gas.

FWIW (23 yrs old)

Eric

Proram, why should I drive 3/4 of the way across the country to amuse you?

Piers pointed out that the center of the country is in Oregon. Oo.

Hmmmm. I am. You mean I could go faster if I ran something else? Killer! Where/ what is it?

LOL at Joe... Piers's geography lessons are paying off!:p I'd drive all the way there to beat any of you, but I'm afraid it won't be on a dyno; drag race only! :D

Joe:

Heh, how are you doing?

Joe, is it true that Mark Chapple @ TST offered you a pretty good

amount of cash to run "Sickly" on his Mustang Dyno back at

the TDR National Colombus, Indiana Rally and you refused

his offer?? I was wondering if you could clear that up for me?

Thanks!

I was going to stay out of this. But Joe you started it, Yup 886 is the number period! Horsepower is Horsepower regardless of number of turbos, N20, etc. I just don't feel that limiting oneself to "diesel only" is the game, make HP the way you want and let others do the same. In the HP game he who has the most wins.

Doug

So Doug, since it's never been posted what are the raw numbers from that run (uncorrected)? What kind of correction are you using (SAE or STD)? Just curious.

Not trying get into a pi$$ing match, but way more HP's have been made out of a 5. 9 and you just won't hear about it on the forums.

You gotta get arround, not everyone talks about everything on this board or any other board for that matter. Do you know how much power my truck makes?? Didn't think so. Why? Cause you don't know whats under my hood if I don't open it..... just case senerio... . my hood is always open by the way. :)

Nathan,

The 886 is SAE and the correction factor that was utilized that day was a negative component... ... The uncorrected run was slightly higher showing 912.

Guys this is supposed to be fun! As Rodney King said "can't we all just get along" There is always someone bigger and better out there. Personally I enjoy playing with new things to try and get the 5. 9 to make as much HP as I can. I have had some success and some failures. There are many talented folks plugging away in this HP game and having astounding results!

Really? Didn't hear that one.

Isn't that the same dyno that the west keeps insisting Dave Mitchell only made 407 hp on?

Interesting... ... ...

BTW, Piers uses the metric system, add in the Canadian square wheel factor, and you get a guy that can only do fuzzy math.

Hey Sheddy, at which Ivy League college did you get your doctorate? LOL! j/k :p :p

wow this is good I just read this even though my better half is already posting. Richard as far as me taking a shot at you? Please, it is the other way around, you need to unthrone me. You know where I pull. Bring it on anytime if you feel lucky. On the other hand I will never dispute the fact that you have one very wicked drag truck even the best in the country right now, thats just where you need to stay. The one thing I have learned about pulling is you can't have your cake and eat it too.
