Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) ecm

Since I bought the truck used with 60k miles my 2002 3500 has had intermitent guage issues. The tach, temp and oil guage sometimes do not work. If I unplug the plug nearest the fender on the module behind the air filter box and plug it back in with the truck running the guages pick right up. I have tried tweaking the pins, more dielectric grease, new instrument cluster, eliminated cluster docking possibiility. The re- plug method used to last months but now it happens almost daily. Ocasionally I will get no bus as well. Do you think a new pcm or ecm will fix this? All mechanics including dealer cant fix and say the have no more ideas. If so where do i buy these components and how hard is the swap. thnaks.

Pull the knee bolster and under the dash on the pass side of the steering collum is a black box it is the central timer control unplug both plugs and spray them with electronic cleaner (Radio Shack) and the inputs on the box then replug them in and you should be good to go
