Hello

I have been gone a while remote sites no internet.

I am back and have a question.

My original edge Comp has served me well since installed in 2000

truck is a 99 ctd The problem is that sometimes the power light is on, on the comp but the truck feels like stock power levels I checked the wires in the eng compartment. all looked good. it is almost like the wire that goes to the tapped injection pump wire is losing contact. I inspected the wire it looked good as did the connection. No codes or any other problems other than the truck just acts like stock. is 8 years long enough for a Comp box?

do Comp boxes fail?? has anyone else had this problem??

Any suggestions?

Any Fixes??

Thanks in advance

Mine's a few years newer, but other than recently cleaning all connections due to an intermittant MAP sensor code, all is well - and the MAP codes quit as well...

There can be failures. You can't tell by looking whether a connectionis good. Get electrical contact spray cleaner and the grease and clean and regrease them all, including the main one to the box. If that doesn't work and you do have a problem with the box, Edge's customer service is top notch! I had an issue with my juice that was out of warranty and they went through it and reflashed it free of charge. Good luck! Almost forgot, grounds are the most important connection on the comp. Connect it to the battery.

Ditto on the GROUND connection(s). My Comp likes to have the ground connections tightened a couple times a year.
