I'll give this a shot over here. I know we don't have too many 1st gens running around with EDM injectors. So just wondering who all is making or should I say, CAN make a HOT set for us? I've seen DonM, ?Lenny?- Dynomite Diesel maybe??, EEP maybe? Would Scheid or any reputable fuel injection shop be able build a set for you if you brought them a set of stock cores? I have a set of 9mm tipped injectors from my 89, and a set of 7mm tipped from a IC'd 93. I'd rather have the 9's built so I don't have to use adaptor bushings which are a thick washer and you have no choice in washer thickness. I don't forsee getting a new style head where I'd need the 7mm tipped injectors. If I went with the 9mm tipped sticks, I could play with washer size. Looking for something hotter and or substanially more power than POD's. Not too worried about smoke at idle, takeoff or WOT, nor price but since it is $$$, I'd like to do it once, be happy with them and have plenty of room to grow. Any thoughts or ideas?

I know Piers sells a set they claim will give you 75hp and burn better than POD's. They priced them to me for $800. You have to call and ask about them. They also said they could support almost any amount of power you want. That is if you have the pump to fuel them. But you do so that 66mm may not be enough.

I'm hoping the 66 will support 550hp like HTT says it does. Yeah I've seen that +75hp from PDR. But for the price, I want something substanially higher in HP gain than the lowly $400 +60hp POD's.

Washer thickness

Bll-

Hate to break it to ya on your b-day and all, but I have only ever seen 2 thickensses of 9mm washers- . 060" and . 092" inch. I dont think the super thin ones are available for the 9s, though I could be mistaken. And, I believe the adaptors (at least the ones I ran for a while) were . 060" thick as well. I'll see if I can talk to anyone in my email archives about spray patterns with EDMs and flow rates.

Easily modified. ;)

Yes the adapters are 1/16 I believe, I can check as I have a spare set, and although those can't be meesed with too much, they could be thinned a bit I believe without destroying them.

If it were me I EDM a set of the 7 mm ones... . they will have an afterlife.
