Just finished hooking up the EGT gauge it runs 4 at idle and 6-8 crusing on the freeway at 60-70mph what's normal for a stock truck like mine. Could my Pac Brake be sticking. any advise would be great.

Idle seems a little high, highway seems Ok.

My Mule idles at 300/325 depending on outside temp and a/c off. Running the highway at 70 mph it will run at 700 to 750 degress. That is on a flat/level road when going up inclines boost and temp will rise depending how steep/long the incline is (engine working harder). They will also drop going down declines (engine working less).

My engine and exhaust are stock.

Look at the arm on the brake. If its open then the arm will be closed, no shaft will be visable. If closed just the opisite shaft will be visable, and it will be audible, like theres bubbles in it. Acceleration will not be there if its closed.

Thank's,

I looked at it it's all the way in but it dosn't turn on,when i flip the switch on. The little red light comes on but no noise saying it's working maybe the solenoid is getting stuck i used to have 2 but i took one off because it was for to the EGR tube.

I put a 3 piece BD manifold on with another stock intake (larger inside) it drives great. I will look at the other one and swith'em over.

The little red wire was on ther illumination fuse. I switched it to the N/A fuse next to it, i used a 20amp and it's all good egt's are sitting around 240- 280 at idle.

If the pac brake is on you will have almost zero power and egt will be very high if you are feeding it fuel. My pyro has a low stop peg at 300. Is your low stop peg at 400? Your 60 mph egt sounds about normal.

I think my solenoid is out because everything it hooked up but it dosn't come on when i flick the switch, and the switch has power. I havn't had the chance to have another look at it.

I'll let you know what i find. i still have good power when switch is on.
