Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Electric Fan (do or don't)

I have several electric fans at my body shop left over from insurance jobs. I thought about using one on my truck. Is anyone using an electric fan on the 24 valve? How does it work? Have you had any problems?

I was on Ebay yesterday, and came across an ad from someone that was selling electric fans made for the cummins and PSD powered trucks. Don't recall who it was.
