2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Electric Seat Motor - Broken Gear

One of the tiny nylon gears on my drivers seat adjustment motors has broken making it so I can't move the back of my seat up and down. Fortunately I have it adjusted correctly, so it is not a huge inconvenience. However I would like to fix it. I called the dealer and they only offer the entire assembly including all three motors for a mere $800 +. Anybody have any experience with this and if so, does anyone know where I can get just the nylon gear or possibly just the motor assembly with the gear attached?

I hate to bring out threads from the Dark, but Im in the same boat, are you still having the problem?

Sorry it's taken so long to reply, but to answer your question, yes I am still having the problem. I just moved the seat vertical position to where I wanted it and then unplugged that motor. One of these days I intend to go salvage yard searching for that motor, but as of yet I have not gotten around to it. Please let me know if you find a solution.

Bob4X4 was looking 2 the seat and said that the motor is shot.

Wondering if I should get some Recaro's in there?
