Competition Coating Pistons ??

Off Roading Desert Fab Motor Sports Axle Truss

Yup, that is the story. I appreciate you verifing the charger for us. Some people just don't know how long this charger has really been around. Of course there are quite a few variations and here lately some more hybrid variations have come out of the woodworks.

If you don't have some RPM that charger isn't going to be very friendly.

The pics came from one of the Diesel sites, I just can't remember which one.

I've got some more that also show some more of your truck in them.

Later,

Wes

Your welcome and yes, that is not a new charger by any means. The one I had was actually Joe's but there have been more made since his was built. The charger was difficult for me to light (I have a very tight converter) but once it did light it would make well over 100 lbs in a split second. It might have been better with a little looser converter though. There are other 24 valves out there running this same turbo, and they don't have spooling issues but I am not sure what there set up is either. There are also a few on some 12 valves but they don't have any spooling issues.

All I want to know is the air temp and drive pressure at that boost!

Joe always commented that a set of Twins was good for 100 hp over it... ... that was a stock 35/3B(mine)... ... yea right!

For some reason I thought you were referencing on of the ATS Auora trubos (must have been the ATS stuff in the pic :) ) I forgot you had special ties at Bell turbo but that is what I was getting at.

Since the only time I ran it hard was at the track, I wasn't concerned about temps so I never watched them. Never measured drive pressure either. I am positive that wastegate would have been nice to have though.

And to think Jake I am using that same turbo in my twin set-up and it's my small turbo. :-laf

Wow, Fulmer, 870 of #2 validated HP. I guess that dyno graph is kind of like a drag racers time slip for confirmation purposes?

It's amazing how that works, but according to the internet engineers... it will never light!!

And if 105psi with 370's on your truck is never lit... I can't WAIT to be in the truck when it does :-laf

Now does that include the flame out the tailpipe or not?

AHH it makes sense to me now, is this the turbo you were running at MM 05 when you would stall the hell out of your truck right off the line?

I wasn't stalling the heck out of my truck on the line... i can't leave at much over 1700rpm.

The truck stalled on me a couple times, cause i was fighting a lockup problem... mm05 was not a clean event for me... but then again, i did go home with the trophy, and a couple of "race" :-laf trucks didn't.

COMP461 This is one trick turbo; it is also back at Industrial getting a turbo speed sensor said:
Why on earth would you want to mess with the turbo shaft integrity by cutting into it for the magnetic earth magnets for the data logger speed sensor??

That ATS intake, I didnt know they made them for 12 valves

Technically they don't, if you look close you can see where it rubs the hood liner just a tad when the motor torques over. If you don't mind that, order one up!
