Engine Serial Number

Can any one tell me where to find the Serial Number on my Engine ? I belong to the Cummins Owners Club and they want the Engine Number for something to do with the Cummins Onan Web Site.

On the left side of the valve cover. You are looking for an 8 digit number. I THINK it will start with a "5”....

To my knowledge....it's no longer on the left side of the valve cover.

It's on top of the valve cover...at the rear most part of the engine, under the cowl area. You can see it easiest by standing on the bumper and looking down at it.

That could be, I have not looked at the newest ones.

Truck VIN is the easiest way, you don't even have to get dirty or anything...

My 2013 engine number is on the top of the valve cover also.
