Hello all -

I have been looking at the M. E. kit from Geno's Garage. I just found out that it is galvanized steel... I have never heard of exhaust pieces coming in galvanized steel

Anyone who has the kit, how is it holding up? I thought the only choices were aluminized and Stainless. Isn't galvanized known to crack and chip/flake?

My concern is living in the Northeast and road salt...

Thanks for helping me clear up the galvanized issue!

Galvanized is used alot by exhaust shops due to cost. Aluminized and stainless are better choices, so you might want to check with a local exhaust shop and get an estimate from them. Your other option is a 4" SS or aluminized system, which I highly recommend. I ran my truck with just the resonator and it was so loud I could not use my cell phone above about 1800 rpm.
