Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Recently bought an 07. 5 with 17 miles. Sticker and owners manual says that it has a Remote Keyless Entry and Sentry Theft Deterrent System. I see the red light on the dash go on for 3 seconds when I turn the key on. However, when I use the buttons on the key (key is an integrated keyfob and ignition key, with the plastic end black in color) to lock the doors, the headlights flash and horn chirps, but the red light on the instrument cluster doesn't go into its flashing routine. In fact, if I lock the doors with the button on the key while inside the vehicle, i can open any door without the alarm going off at all. Is there something else i need to do? I've gone thru all the options on the computer mounted in the roof, but didn't see anything that resembled what I was looking for. Did see the options to set exterior lighting and horn enable / disable though. Excuse me if this is a simple question, but this truck has way more bells and whistles than my 01 that i traded in. How could this not be enabled, or is there something else wrong with the truck? Either way, I am assuming that this is probably something only the dealer is going to be able to resolve. Is this something that should be covered by the warranty?
