Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I have noticed a slight change in the sound of my drivetrain lately. It seems that at about 35-40 mph I have a slight grinding/rubbing type of sound that feels like it's coming from under my feet. I have a 94 auto/4wd. My trans (BD)is two years old with about 32k on it. My transfer case has a slight leak that I am having fixed this friday, but when I last checked the fluid was very low.
Could the low fluid have done some serious damage or could I be hearing the u-joints starting to go after 178k. I checked the drive shaft and did not think I felt any play in the u-joints, but my experience with them isn't enough to feel confident in making a diagnosis. Anyone have any thoughts on the subject... ... ... ..... BK
