FASS filtration deception.

I don't have much on the pumps, but the Walbro isn't used as much anymore. Richard at GDP has gone away from it as well. I would look at the FASS Platinum, or the Raptor 150.

I see that it was never stated. But the AirDog has used the LuberFiner (LFF9454) water seperator filter now for about 8 months. So all this info that has been said excludes AirDog. Our filter is NOT 50% free and 0% emulsified like the competitor. It is 95% free and 75% emulsified. Hope this clears some things up.

I went to Luberfiners website and this is not a correct part number, LFF9454. Are the numbers transposed? What is the GPH on this filter? I have an Airdog 150? Will this filter work withe 150? Thanks, Sam.

This had been some great information. Just to clarify, I'm looking at a Titanium 95g FASS, can I use the P553203, and P550550 filters?

The P553203 will fit the Titanium with the FASS adapter ( I think its OE equipment now).

Oo. You guys need to cut the old filter apart. As is designed, it does separate the water as the water is on the bottom of the can. The diesel floats on top of the water and is sphioned through holes above the water drain level.

What are everyones thoughts on running the fuel through the stock canister after the FASS? It seems most bypass the stock canister. I assume it can only help.

If thats the case, it looks like the best route with my FASS 95 would be a:
luberfiner water seperator (lff9594)
3 micron filter (which I dont see listed in the filter table... am I getting screwed by thinking Im buying 3 micron filters?)
and then the baldwin PF7977 filter in my stock canister?

Nothing wrong with going thru the OEM canister, many are doing that now.



The BF1275 is actually a better filter than the LFF9594 so use it.



What filter are you thinking is 3um?



To get better than 10um filtration on the FASS 95 you have to get the adapter to run a different thread size.

I have all the stuff to pump my fuel back through the canister. The only reason I didnt is because right now I have my stock fuel system there entirely as a redundant backup.

Thats one of the falsities on FASS filter specs. I have no clue where they got 3um from. The FF5712 (FF2003) is a 10um absolute filter, with 5um at 83%.



You actually have less filtration than stock with those filters. You need to get a BF1275 and the adapter from FASS to run the Donaldson P553203.

Thats awesome that Ive had less filtration than I did before... for the past 2 years.

I beleive the adapter is around $5.



I think Geno's just advertises what FASS tells them. FASS no longer uses the FF5712 on the 95 GPH pumps, they all come with the P553203 now.
