When were the DPFs added to the 6.7?

Truck died

Just got a call and the truck is done, however, the lead diesel tech and owner of the shop has been out sick the last couple days and he does not let any vehicle leave the shop without his final inspection and test drive. I appreciate that. I am in no hurry to get the truck back and they know that. I appreciate their integrity. I still would like to hear from AH64ID or anyone for that matter why he said he would not delete the OEM fuel filter delete, thanks guys,

Read the post above yours.

Never delete the OEM filter, this is your last defense for contamination.

As you have now with the FASS system there is no need for a regular filter change at the stock location, maybe every 100'000 MI you can change it for peace of mind. Or just leave it alone.

Simple said, there is no benefit from deleting as more filters means more clean fuel.

Good afternoon everyone, not sure where we left off but just wanted to check back in real quick without reading all the back posts. I got my truck back last week and didn't get a change to take a nice drive until Sunday afternoon. My wife and I took about a 70 mile drive, some freeways and some main roads driving around 55 miles an hour on main and of course way over that on freeways. The truck drove very smooth and the Cummins seems happy not starving for fuel. I will post back when I am able to take a much longer drive, but for now I am happy. Only time will tell. But, once again I want to thank all of you for all your knowledge, this seems to be a journey I'm on, and I'm so appreciated of you being there with me. Stay safe. Bobby A
