Has anyone installed a cap on their 2010 yet? Im getting one in the spring and have not seen any installed yet, only pics. Looking for opinions of the fit with this new tailgate / spoiler thingy. (in my opinion, only part of the truck i do not like) but thats for another day.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Bump:

From LEER: they have released the 100R, the 100RCC and the 122 for the new Dodge 2500/3500 non dually Long Bed. That's it.

I've pinged SnugTop but haven't got a response.

Does anybody have a top on theirs yet?

Does anybody have any experience with AFE? They make a decent model for the 3500 SRW's I'm interested in.

Not a topper but I put an Extang Solid Fold on my truck and looks and works great for $609. 00 shipped!! :D

Search - extang solid fold - AutoPartsDealer.com

This place beat everyone else's price on the Extang Solid Fold by a considerable margin and shipping was lightning fast.

Had a Bakflip G2 on the previous truck and it was a POS that cracked after two years and was a PITA to install, I understand Bakflip has solved the cracking problem with the newer models by going to an all aluminum design for the panels.

Both are lockable and IMHO look better than a topper and allow you to hook up a 5er without having to remove a topper.

A.R.E. Shell

I had my A. R. E. shell installed last week and, as promised, have uploaded a few pictures. They are not the best but, I got them with the only sunlight and no rain we had that day. I'm generally happy with it. I got it with the drop down and sliding front window and a light. No liner. It seems to have improved the ride a little. I'm not sure if this is because it reduces the flexing or it's the added weight or just in my head.

I would recommend this for price and features. I've received numerous compliments on it in just a week.

I have an ARE cap, and it works way better than the ARE I had on my 06. I thought the spoiler doodad was hoaky, but ARE did a good job of building the bottom of the tailgate glass to accommodate it.

It's been almost two years since the last post. I'm looking for a topper for my 4th gen. dually. I know most of the toppers will only fit srw and not the dually, because of the fenders.

What model are you using and are you happy with it?

Has anyone had problems with water leaks around the funky tailgate glass?

Anyone using A. R. E. 's rear door kit on a srw or a dually. do you like it and again does it leak?

Thanks, Mark

Mark, I have a Z series ARE cap on our 2011 DRW. We've had it almost a year with no problems or leaks. It was pricey, but we are happy with it. Especially the slam latch (what the dealer called the latching mechanism on rear lift door.
