Finally Dakota dIGITAL FP gauge installed

Hello all, Installed my fuel pressure gauge today.

All is well, the idle pressure is 11. 4-12. 0 psi,

WOT droppped to 5. 5-6. 0 psi cruising 40-50 mph 10 psi. For those who are thinking of purchasing this gauge, its a very nice set up, and I purchased the teal vice green like James Colwell did, the teal looks nice and bright!

I mounted the sensor to the bracket above the pusher pump, using a wire strap with the eyelet in it and a 1/4-20 bolt and nylock. I used aeroquip 2556-4 (not wire braided) hose 20"long from the sensor to the banjo fitting at the VP44 supply inlet, with aeroquip -4 S/S reusable fittings, I purchased a 1/8" with (female ends)needle valve p/n 6800 from Napa, I installed a 4797-4 mj-mp 1/8" straight fitting on one end of the needle valve and the sensor on the other end. As for the banjo I installed the 2501-4 mj-mp 90deg 1/8npt fitting in the banjo facing aft. I had a local sheet metal shop make the gauge mounting plate for me out of . 050 aluminum and painted black to match the console. The plate was cut in the shape of the cubby that I removed to mount the gauge. I had to add some spacers and longer screws to make the plate flush with the molding. Hope this helps someone who is getting ready to do the same.

Just a little info for you folks installing Dakota Dig gauges-

I have 5, ( pre and post EGT, pre and post filter fuel pressure, and boost) The fuel press and boost are in a 3-pod dash mount and the EGT are in a custom panel in an aluminum console that replaces the middle seat.

So far I have had no trouble with any of them, and I believe they have the best display of any of the available gauges. Iwas able to adapt to the digital displays without any problems. (Considering many years of analog gauges on the aircraft I fly)!!

I will be adding oil temp( trans,transfer case, rear diff and tire press monitor).
