Think you can write a good tech piece on a performance product? Get rewarded for your work!
In Issue 63 (page 123) you read an introduction of a new intake manifold from the folks at Wilson Manifolds. We'll save you some time and reprint the text from Issue 63 here:
Wilson, a leading name in performance and racing induction systems, has expanded its product line with a new intake system for 5. 9-liter HPCR Cummins engines from '03 - '07.
In contrast with the OEM arrangement, this new induction system provides greater equality of air distribution, especially in the cruise zone of 2,000 to 2,100 rpm. As a result, the Thrasher generates gains in both torque and fuel economy, but also improves horsepower output, lowers exhaust temperatures, reduces exhaust emissions, and improves driveability.
The WIlson Thrasher Kit contains a cast alloy elbow, billet baseplate, stainless/Vitron rubber gasket, and all necessary fasteners. Installation takes about two hours.

A give-away is a great way to generate some buzz in the marketplace. The folks at Wilson agreed. So we are pleased to offer one of their $490 - '03 - '07 manifolds as the prize. Be sure to check out their website at Wilson Manifolds - Home or click on their banner ad.
So how does the Wilson Intake Manifold contest work?
- Send us a photo of you and a Wilson Sporting Goods item? Oops, wrong Wilson.
- Send us a photo of a night out when you had too much intake? Nope, this is a family-friendly website.
- Send us a photo of your manifold? Too boring.
How about about a contest where you become a TDR field correspondent? If you win this contest, you agree to submit your product evaluation of the Wilson Intake Manifold to the Turbo Diesel Register for publication. Although the contest is open to anyone, you will need access to a '03 - '07 5. 9-liter truck. Your evaluation should include mileage and horsepower tests from a dyno (if at all possible).
Sign up now to win the Wilson Thrasher Intake system and become the newest TDR field correspondent.
To enter, simply post a sentence or two about why you should be selected as our evaluator. We're not looking for the best writing. We're looking for enthusiasm and a genuine interest in the product.
Now get your pencils (oops, keyboards) out and enter now!
Questions? Email me at rpatton@ix.netcom.com.
I look forward to reading what you have to say!
* * Post your entry no later than April 30, 2009.
* * Winner will be announced on May 1, 2009.
