Somebody deceided to run into my front bumper this winter causing a split in the chrome and ruined my license plate bracket. The chrome is now starting to rust beyond my control and what I need to know is how easy it is to remove the bumper? I'm going to add factory fog lights as well as the truck had them but the previous owner installed wal-mart style bright blue lights or something along those lines. I see they sell those types of factory style fog lights on ebay complete with brackets, any trick to either the bumper or lights? Thanks for your help... .

No trick to the bumper. Three bolts on each of the front frame mounts and one support on each side under the front of the fenders. Give the bolts a shot of penetrating lube and they should come off nice and easy.

With the bumper off, installing the lights will be cake.

You'll need some of those big plastic rivets for the fog lights and bumper cover, plus a big plastic rivet gun to install them.

There's 2 black anodized or plated carriage bolts and nuts on the top of the fog light, and then the plastic rivets to hold the deflectors in. I used regular bolts instead of rivets the first time, but after 1 winter the salt was causing the bolts to rust and "weep" down the bumper. I ended up taking it apart again and doing it the right way... . lesson learned, steel on chrome WILL rust.

instead of getting a new stock bumper you outta just get something like the buckstop, ranch hand, or browns welding... . i have to say i am very happy with mine... . i fear no deer or another car anymore :D

18MM deep socket, swivel, and a wrench, The bolts are easy to get to if you dont have a plow bracket (trust me I know) It takes me about 20 min to uninstall and put the new one on (slt-sport and CPolings new bumper)

Have fun!

the upper and lower valances are plastic push in clips, CAREFUL the break easy!!!!! and a smaller torx bit to get the rubber flap off the bottom,

there will be 2 bolts connected and one twords the rear of the truck (frame) that are easier to get at if you turn them to the outside. just a little tip

another set of hands are nice as well
