2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission front drive shaft

Hello there,

Had a u-joint on the front drive shaft go bad, the one closest to the transfer case, there are 3 u-joints in the driveshaft, 2 by the transfer case with a yoke, one up front by the axle. the 2 by the tranfer case with the yoke has a 3rd bushing/bearing/dustshield inside the yoke to keep everything under tension, centered. Does anyone have part numbers for this bushing/ bearing /dust shield,?? cant seem to find it in the parts manual. Would this be a NAPA item ??

When I replaced mine, I think I got that centering joint from NAPA. I also put all NAPA u joints in the front shaft at the same time. They lasted less than 2 years. I would recommend putting spicer non-greaseable joints back in. Just my 2 cents.

yep, Spicer will be the way to go, did find the yoke centering bearing at napa, however nobody has the dust shield, anybody know if this is a Dodge only part or point me to some other part numbers???

I cant remember where I got mine check these. Auto Parts Fast at RockAuto or Home when I replaced my u-joints in the cv. and yoke flange assy it came with the dust shield.

just found out my local carquest had the dust shield dont know if you have them by you.

Not really a carquest close by, ended up just ordering them from quad4x4, be here tomorrow. Thanks for the info. Neither NAPA, Autozone or Advanced had anything in stock or couldn't find it
