i have a 2001 dodge dually 4x4,with 27000 miles. i have never had any problems with the truck and i pulled into a parking spot friday and went in to do errands then came out and backed up about 3 feet and it felt like i hit a car. . mmm looked in mirror no car. when i pulled in my tire rod end adjuster tube snapped in half and the tire rod fell to ground then i ran over it tearing bothe tire rod ends up and all connected parts, even breaking the track bar bracket from the front end. they r soppost to order everything for the frontend even steering stabeliser. i have extended warrenty to 5 yrs so they said that it should be covered. now my problem is i just put new tires on 4 ays ago, when it broke it slit m left front tire, and they said that i should contact my ins co. now if they(chrysler) tells me that i had a defective part and it breaks, and is warrenteed, but tears other things up(tire), should they not have to replace that too.

has anybody ever heard of this happining.

No, I would pressure Dodge to purchase you a new tire. It's their defective part that damaged the tire. They are responsible, not your insurance company. Keep arguing your case, they are just holding out and trying to save money. They all do it. In my experience, they give in to those that don't let them off the hook. Keep them on the hook.

well i talked to chrysler today and they warrenteed everything, including turbo that had been leaking oil,i told them that my ins said they would not cover it and that it was chryslers fault, and if they would not get me a new tire then i should contact my atterny. service mans reaction was ill talk to the manager and see what he says, and ill call u,my sales man, which is now sales manager called me and said that if service wont take care of it, sales will buy me a new one. , so i think all is well.

yes i was kinda surprised, but my sales man told me that he did not want to buy the tire but if service wouldnt he would,he said that 200 dollars was not worth loosing me as a customer,so my truck should be done monday, and they are going to order my tire monday and have it shipped to m y house, and i can keep the cut one...
