Can anyone tell me where i can find an entire rebuild kit for the front eng of a 2001 dodge that is 2wd? Urethane bushing not rubber. Maybe even a set of stock body bushing also that are stock hight. I just want to get the thing feeling new again as i do not plan to sell it any time soon. As for the kit i would like to have as many grease fittings as i can get!!!!

If you want to do a bushing rebuild I'd look at Energy Suspension, their part number 5. 18109 does:

Front control arm bushings
rear leaf spring bushings
Body mount bushings
Swaybar bushings
Tie rod end boots

I would shy away from that kit though and just do control arm bushings which is PN 5. 3120.

But a front end job is more than bushings, how are your balljoints? After I replaced my balljoints my '98 2wd front end feels like new, I have 199,000 on it.

The passenger side upper and lower ball joints have been replaced with greasable moog going to do the drive side as well. I am really pleased but they are just such a pain to do. i have these rivets that have to be drilled and hammered out but i think i am getting better at it, lol. I HAVE to at least to tie rod end boots as my boots are all but gone. i would like to find some with grease fittings too. why would you not get the entire kit? what all would you replace? my steering does not feel "bad" but i dont want to get feeling bad either. i am more of the stop it before it does type of guy. i know a lot of people say dont fix somethig thats not broke but i dont want to drive something that is a pain either... . looking for some advice as i have not be able to locate many parts for the front end. i am going to look at the kits now.

I know there were changes to the front suspension starting with the 2000 model, mine did not have rivets for the balljoints.

I say don't get the whole kit because most likely the rear bushings will not fit. I bought bushings to do my rear suspension and they didn't fit, Energy said that is because Dodge was so inconsistent with sizing the shackle & spring eye. I would just get the front suspension plus body bushings. But one thing to consider I understand the stiffer body bushings will transmit more road noise and vibration.

I rebuilt mine about 3 years ago maybe 4 and I picked up everything through Rockauto. Took about 6 hours per side and yes the rivets are a pleasure to play with, lol. What I found with the rivets was to drill through the center of it, then grind down both sides. Once you have that done they are easy to knock out. Pretty simple thing to do actualy just time consuming.
