OK. I went for the front end rebuild. I replaced the track bar with an SSI and converted the Inverted Y to the T setup. This got rid of a significant amount of the wander. I then purchased the Moog ball joints and took my truck to a shop to have them installed and get an alignment. The mechanic took 5 hours to get them installedand them couldn't adjust the caster. I'm not sure what he did but when adjusting the cams volt on the lower control arm he reported that one cam washer turned but the other one spun. I took the truck home with the understanding that they would finish the job when they secured new cam bolt/washers.
When I got it home and inspected it I puled the bolt out and the flat on the bolt was rounded on the threads where the cam washer resides. THEN I noticed that he installed the straight zerk nipple on the upper ball joint, (pointed right at the U joint mind you), and the angled one on the bottom ball... . on both sides. #@$%!NOW, HOW am I to get a grease gun on that upper with the Ujoint in the way?
I then noticed that the brackett that holds the ABS sensor cable was not reattached and I think he left it on the wrong side of the axle.:mad:#@$%!I think I am going to have a :-{} with the shop owner.
Can anyone shoot me a pic of their axle at the wheel so I can get an idea how this sensor brackett is routed/mounted?

When I did my front end the first time I found I could NOT use an angled fitting "inside" (upper ball). I used a shallow reach straight and a right-angle gun fitting and have been fine for 135,000 miles. I also used regular straight xerks on the lower as I wanted water to drip off rather than capilate inside—may have been useless but… To grease the uppers I just jack that side and clock the cross shaft to allow gun clearance.
