Curt and Valley both make one. I've looked at most of the install sheets and they are

very similar. I also want one that is a little higher. I thought about buying one and then cutting the hitch off and welding it back on 3" higher so that it would be tight against the bottom of the bumper... . but for all that work I might as well build one from scratch.

What was the brand bought from Etrailer?

Reese makes one... I had it on my 02 3500 4wd... Cant be sure but I think I paid around $200 for it. Install was a piece of cake.

Reese Part Number: 65046

I have this hitch on my 05. My dad has the Warn on his 06. I think the Resse is a stronger setup, but the Warn offers more ground clearance. I had my Reese modified to put the receiver in the cross tube, giving me an additional 2".

Just a heads up-- While it seems like a great idea for backing a trailer into a tight spot, the lack of visibility quickly trumps the increase in maneuverability.

If you are alone yes, but with a guide it's well worth it.

To put my camper on the side of my house it takes many attempts with a rear receiver and a guide, it takes one with the front receiver and a guide.

I have a utility mouny on my ranch hand front bumper and love it. I also have a rear step that goes in my rear receptical and I use it also on the front bumper when servicing motor.

I bought an old rear hitch at a bone yard and made my own for $40. Flipped it over to get receiver higher.
