Has anyone ever seen

I think additives help, but which one(s)?
I feel confident that hotshots is good.
Project Farm has good videos where he tests a LOT of stuff & hotshots has done well.

I’m a fuel additive guy. Some believe it’s BS. This was one of the first test that has any credibility as far as testing for wear and cetene that I have seen. I’ve used Hot Shot EDT for years. Before that Amalgemated in my 05 5.9. They all claim they’re the best.Im changing to Opti Lube. Now. JMO.

Most fuel additives are worthwhile, while engine oil additives I would stay away from for the most part.

The diesel fuel additive I have used for 25 years is never mentioned in testing or comparison reports or videos. It is Amalgamated, which I learned about on TDR and they even have the "TDR blend" which I use. I think it is superior to pretty much everything else on the market. Amalgamated has expanded their "TDR" line of additives over the years

I know people " feel" like additives do something
I know clever advertising does
but I would just like to say any anecdotal evidence I have points in the other direction.

my anecdotal evidence being I worked for a large municipal fleet for 35 years that ran anywhere between 700 and 1000 diesel powered vehicle's on a daily basis
and they employer did not use any fuel additives, with the exception of a biocide one time when we had an issue with bacteria( aka Algae) in our fuel tanks ( we had 60,000 gallons of fuel at our facility) and we would then treat the fuel in the supply tanks, never on the vehicle itself.

only other anecdotal evidence I have would be the fact that engine manufacturers say to use diesel fuel and no proof is offered that additive do anything unless a specific problem is identified as being traced to the fuel and to use a specific chemical agent to treat that specific problem, not a generic across the board "fuel treatment".

That said I do occasionally use a fuel treatment like Howes or Power Service because I also succumb to marketing and it makes me feel better about the world. :)
