does anyone know of another reason for a non working fuel gauge (OEM) besides the in-tank sending unit???... . i hate to jump the gun by ordering a sending unit if there may be another solution !!!... . thanks in advance guys..... i'm trying to get ready for May Madness '06 !!!!! ;)

did your's fail showing empty with a low fuel warning light????... . thats what mine is doing... though the tank is full... . thanks..... tom

If you need a new sending unit and are willing to wait for a while you might contact a Dodge dealer and ask them to save one of the sending units they pull out and throw away in order to install the worthless in-tank pump.

Thats a pretty cool idea... .

A recent TDR article about the sending unit talked of a wire that rubs inside the assy. If that were the problem could that be repaired? Mine drops intermitently around the 1/4 tank mark. If I let it go long enough, it works fine by 1/8, but thats when the panic light comes on anyway... .

Mine whacks out right after I fill it up but by the time I put a fuel miles on it, it starts reading correctly. Goofy setup but I'm getting use to it till I get ambitious and swap it out.
