Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) fuel press check and transmission trouble

First off what do i need to check the FP on a 02 auto with out buying all the guages and stuff for the cab. thats a nother project.





Second this is an automatic I have been having some strange shifting going on. 1 to 2 is ok most of the time 2 to 3 is some time harse but ass soon as it hits 3rd it jumps right to 4th. Could this be the elec gov or the sensor? How much so these things run. Do i need to get the parts from dodge? I believe i have read that this is a simple parts swap. But i want to make shure im not going to need any fancey calibrating equipment before I try this.

Sounds like the OD soleniod, which is a more difficult to change than the other two that you mentioned, because you have to pull the VB down. All three of the elec components range from 60 to 90 bucks. DTT says to only buy these items from the dealer, due to relieablity issues. I x'd my fingers and got all three of mine at a local distributor of http://www.rostra.com/transmissions.htm .
