Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Fuel Solenoid

1996 3500 Stock.

Last year I got tired of pulling the Fuel Shut Off lever up to start so I had a new solenoid installed.

Even when new and worse now when cold I still have to lift to start.

After motor is warm everything works fine(no lifting).

What can I check

Fuel selenoid relays (on firewall) and their connections.

The larger of the two relays on the firewall is the fuel solenoid relay. There is only one relay involved. There is a dark blue wire on the positive post of the driver side battery. If it is loose, corroded, or broken that would cause the same thing. You might want to email me at -- email address removed -- for my 12 valve fuel supply system write up.
