More sarcasm or what, hard to tell now . o_O
That’s funny.....

What’s NOT funny is that I can’t go through the wheel well in my 2018 RAM 4500 to change the oil filter.

I can, however, do it straight from the bottom like the 2007.5 through 2012 model years.

On your 4500, like my 13' 2500, your front shocks are inside the coil springs. On the 13' 3500 and 14' and up 2500 & 3500's, the shocks are behind the springs preventing access to the oil filter from below.

Is that because when they updated the 3500 frames & suspension in 2013 and the 2500 frames in 2014, they did not do any updates to the 4500+ frames and suspension/steering ?

I don't know, but assume so. Were all the 4500+ trucks through the 2018's made in Mexico?

No.....there’s an additional crossmember that prohibits oil filter access from the bottom.

Jeeze, Guys. With all this minute discussion about draining oil, has no one (else) considered PUMPING clean oil back into the pan via the Fumoto? Saves making a mess atop the engine, and extends the complexity of a fairly simple task! <G>

6V92TA said, “as I've said, before, one of my rules to live life by is " don't sweat the petty things, pet the sweaty things.".

personally I have a lot of fun talking with you guys, you all are the type who keep me entertained .
I don't worry about the sort of nonsense you people seem to dwell on, but it is entertaining to watch some of you make a career out of creating nonsense , then dwelling on it and beating the nonsensical subject to death. :)

I'm just here to keep your type going.”

I’ve been a TDR member for a long time now and haven’t always delved into the forums to read the posts. Seems years ago there was a lot less nonsense and bickering going on. As I read now, it’s like visiting some Ford dedicated website. Many disrespectful and childlike attitudes now.

"Seems years ago there was a lot less nonsense and bickering going on."

I have a theory, our trucks are so much more dependable and not a lot of things that need BOMBing so we get side tracked on nonsensical stuff!

What !!!!!!! Nonsensical, what could be more important then how we change our oil filters, or whether we use synthetics, or probably one of the most important is getting the OEM air ride ,instead of aftermarket :D:D:D:D
