Here is somthing that I would like to have answered by the number of people who use on this web site.

Please don't vote if you don't have them, or want a different kind now.

Thanks,

I am monitoring, Boost, Pre and Post Turbo Temps, Pre and Post Fuel Filter Pressure, Transmission Temp, and Rear Dif. Temp.

I am too happy with my SPA gauges:D :D :D

Auto-meter

just checked with UPS... ... ... Boost/EGT/transmission temp A pillar mount here first thing in the morning, It's chrismass in September:D :D

Thumbs down for SPA gauges.

My backlight flickers. And sometimes it will not even light. Also, at night it is to bright.

It is really annoying when the backlight flashes.

These guages do have some great features though.

And (it should be noted) I have no experience with any other gauges.

I fell in love with the Autometer Carbon Fiber guages the first time I saw them in a S/Comp Dragster. My truck has nicer guages in it than my race car lol. Someday its going to drive me nuts and I am going to have to buy carbon fibers to replace the 8 Sport Comp guages in my car. Man thats gonna hurt lol

C,

Sorry to hear about your gauge problems :( I feel the brightness of the backlighting is a personel preferance. I like the backlighting, just perfect, but that's me.

I too would be unhappy with the other two problems. Have you given SPA a chance to help you out? If not, contact Ron Mathis @ SPA or (317) 271-7941. Ron, has helped many a SPA Owner/TDR Member with troubleshooting, installation wiring, etc.

Good Luck :)

I have a set of Banks Gauges. transmission Temp (two senders) Boost and Pyro. Mini toggle switches on lights and the two temp senders mounted on A pillar. Snow King

Banks gauges. Pyro started reading high after five years, they replaced it for free, no questions. Intellronics digital AT temp toggled with air intake temp, works great and is cheap from JC Whitney.

I actually have three makes  , DiPricol, SPA and Autometer. Here's what I have found in my limited testing...

I like the DiP gauges, with the exception of the Pyro gauge. It lacks an illuminated needle and $ucks to read when driving at night.

The SPA is great, alot of awesome features, no problem for me with the backlighting, well made and I like having two gauges in one. Also, the FP sender seems to be holding up well in a non-isolated position post FP position. Can't say that for the Westech's, alot of reported FP sender problems by our members.

The last gauge I have recently added is an Autometer Ultralite 2 5/8" mechanical FP gauge for pre-filter psi's. I like the design, looks great on the hood IMHO. I don't like the 'rim' lighting much and it has a tendency to fog up a bit after a heavy rain. Not a big deal in regards to the fogging, clears right up as soon as sunlight warms it up.

I voted for SPA despite the fact I'm installing VDO's. I just don't like reading digital gauges. I'm used to working with analog gauges and I like the fact the VDO's match the factory cluster.

Autometer

Like the looks of my Autometer. BUT... Rather disapointed that the Trans. Temp. gauge only goes to 250. 300 degrees would be better. Guess it's designed for a "in the pan" reading. With the sender in-line to the cooler. I have seen it go to 250 real quick!
