Gauges

Has anyone put gauges in yet?

I would like to install a boost gauge and pyrometer, but am not a fan of a-pillar pods.

I would like to see if a pod can be made to follow the contours above the instrument cluster to center 2 to 3 gauges above the steering wheel on top of the dash.

If you have gauges, some pics would be nice.

I think Edge has a gauge only unit (no power upgrade). It looks like a Juice w/ attitude head unit.

Yes, and it's called the Insight. FANTASTIC tool, too many options to use at any one time. Option for a pyro to but you may not need one.

I had one on my 2006 PowerStroke and loved it. Honestly, it just me too much info, I was constantly fiddling with it till my wife started yelling at me. I'd drop their customer service a note and see what they have, I thought I read someplace where the Insight works on the '10's now.

I have an 09 with the EGT probe and it works just fine.

I don't know if you are in a hurry but Banks Power will soon be releasing their Banks iQ as a stand alone product (which means you don't have to have it with a tuner or Banks Brake). It will be a stand along gauge pod and do some other non-tuner stuff. I spoke with their customer service dept. yesterday and got this from them directly.

I spoke with Edge yesterday about the Insight working on the later 09 models, and they said no. There is a new product coming out in June called the Edge CS which will work with the later 09's and 2010 models.

No, I wish they did. Here is the response I got: "Unfortunately we do not offer any electronics yet for the 6. 7L. We will have the IQ available as a stand alone item but I do not have an ETA yet. I can keep you information on file so I can let you know when it does become available. "



I didn't include later correspondence but "stand alone" means the IQ will be available to use all by itself without the tuner or speedbrake (i. e. Gauge pod).

Update: I just got an email alert from Edge that their new Insight is available for the 2010 Dodge. This new gauge display looks awesome! If anybody gets one, please post your experience.
