I have a friend who had similar symptoms on his VP44 ( I use to have one) and a few months later the VP44 ate itself. My issues are very slight and most don't even notice but I was a navy propulsion engineer and any change in the equipment no matter how subtle alerts my senses. I could tell when something was going to fail on a running LM2500 when others were saying all indications were fine. So any slight change I pick up on. Most machines will give a hint to the trained ear and hand of pending failure if they know what to look for. Now in my case it could be nothing but it could be something. Maybe I am over sensitive with all this CP4 talk but then again, maybe not.
A friend of mine used to fly FB111s terrain following high speed aircraft. He used to use all his senses to train himself to hear and feel his aircraft along with all the sensor readings and indicators. I do the same thing... I can FEEL and HEAR my equipment and tires. Not to say you won't be sailing away just fine and hear it fail, but a slight piece of metal taking out or reducing function of one injector, if this can be discernable to an attentive and trained operator, could avoid or minimize a catastrophic event.

EDIT, very occasionally, usually cruising one of my vehicles, I'll crank a really good song, bu most of the time it's playing below the sound of my rig.

I like this thinking process.

Since I was a very, very young man (Dad let me drive to church on Sunday's when I was 12 years old in the Bay Area) I have always had a very visceral connection to machines. I "feel" them. They talk to me. It's a telepathic, spiritual, and physical experience. And it is different for every machine that I have operated. From motorcycles, quads, side by sides, cars and trucks, to chemical reactors, airplanes, lawnmowers, and rototillers. They all talk to me and tell me how they feel and what they need. My wife and daughter didn't understand for a long time but with a bit of patience and explanation they began to understand. My wife senses when things are just not right and lets me know that something needs attention. My daughter does her own oil changes, brakes, and even a timing belt on an old PT Cruiser that she had when she was in college (I don't want you to do it Dad, just be here to guide me). Machines do not lie to you. They want to make you happy. They are just like your loved ones. All you have to do is learn how to listen to them.

Nothing for the 19 yet, even though it says parts available on the ram recall page. Sag what’s the difference in the kit between the 19+20?

Not sure, but I think they are the same.
My thinking is the cost to fix a failure is so high, they want to fix as many as possible before they fail. Thinking, the 2019s have had their pandemic of failures. So, start with the 2020s because they have the highest potential for more failures.

Just got my notice to replace my high pressure fuel pump, dealer said they will order parts and call when they come in

It's now being said the parts are the same, and the problem is the software. They have the software for the 2020s but not yet for the 2019s. That's the current rumor.

My data has been recorded, parts are in, replacement takes place in two days

Got my notice on my 2020 RAM and called the nearest dealer. Nice guy, buy could barely speak English and I could barely understand what was said. I did figure out he said he "will call me" when they get the parts in.Never asked my name or anything....Somehow I'm not feeling that call coming anytime soon......... So, for poops and giggles, I called my selling dealer and asked the same. They said they gave my name to the person who is in charge of the recalls and they will call me right back.....Tic Toc......Been 5 days and no call..LOL Lucky for me I cancelled all my out of state vacations due to ridiculous fuel prices etc so the beast sits waiting to do her job of pulling the 17K RV to our local in state vacation spots.........;)

Your friend is as bad as me. Having grown up with junk cars, my ears were in tune to ANY out of the ordinary sound, vibration on the vehicle so as to prevent a break down....Unfortunately, I still do the same now and feel a "misfire" in my 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 318 CI (Daily driver beater)and my brain goes into ALERT mode for the next hicup.....never happens..LOL

Had mine in for other recalls and they said they were able to order the fuel pump recall parts and will call me when parts are in. 2 weeks ago.

Output of the pump is up around 30k psi, not a lot of components let alone filters for that pressure.

The design of the CP routes lube and cooling fuel back thru the same galleries that feed the rail side for safety reasons. If case pressure exceeds 250 psi it close in coming fuel and use cooling\lube fuel to feed the rail. If the pistons break or case cracks or something happens the high pressure fuel is not routed back thru the tank thru lines not meant for pressure. That stops a failure in the pump from blowing return lines and tanks spreading diesel everywhere that could easily ignite. Imagine a fog of diesel fuel from broken lines hitting a hot CAT or the pump seizing and spitting hot metal out into a fuel fog. Be like stacking fireworks on ammonium nitrate and a the fireworks catching fire, BIG boom potential.

Downside is contaminated fuel from poorly designed or bad metallurgy ends up in the downstream fuel system. The kits segregate the fuel in the case so return always goes back to the tank and fresh fuel is routed to the rail supply side, they do not mix in the pump. Also disables the case overpressure failsafe.
My friend, what you just described is now called a Thermobaric weapon!

You get top marks my friend!

So, im still not sure.
Will we get a cp3 enhanced, stock, or a symmetrical cp4.2???

Had mine in for the recall and parts wont be in for 1-2 weeks.

I just want to know what they are going to be doing.

2020 3500SRW 4X4 HO Aisin.

My understanding is we are all getting the CP3 that was revamped for running higher pressure,... basically the same unit they are using on the 21+ trucks.
