Howdy, all. Son, daughter, me, and eventually my wife are relocated(-ing) and will need good places to take care of the trucks.

Who's familiar?

Welcome to Salt Lake City!

There is a place here in town called Wrench-it Center

Welcome To The Wrench-It Center

This is a Do it yourself place where you rent the bay by the hour. Cool place. has high lift, low lift, and open bay. has brake turning and tire machines. . Rent specialty tools or just a basic set. . If you need a lift like for transmission or radiator changes, very sweet. . also in Salt Lake City here. . is a high desert so the weather can change at any time... winter time oil chance? no problem in an inside garage... check it out.

That's pretty cool, and might be handy, since we're all going to be apartment people for a while. How about good Diesel shops for stuff that's beyond my scope/time allotment?

Update!!

Gillette Diesel, down south of us, and another place here near Main street called MotorSports both seem to be do-able.

The guy, Dave, at Motorsports separated our housing and fixed us up w/new bolts at about 6pm on a Saturday, for about $40. That, in my opinion, speaks well of a guy.

Another update!!!

Son and I used the "wrench it" place Eric mentioned, yesterday, to upgrade to some bumpers we ordered from Tactical Armour Group in Georgia. Went fairly smooth, in the context of rusty bolt removals and the need to drill mounting holes for the rear bumper.

Those guys are really helpful, and one of'em took some time to remove some excess steel from the new front bumper, in order to make room for the A/C condenser.

Got there at about 9:30am, dropped the new goodies, returned the UHaul trailer that I'd used (my pickup truck is still in Texas... . DAMMIT!), and, including a trip to Lowe's and NAPA for odds and ends, finished up about 7:20pm.

Our bay-rent/tool-rent bill was $147.

WOO-HOO!

pix

after 10 hours, which really meant about 6 of productivity, and 4 of miscellaneous interruptions and delays:rolleyes:
