Grid heater not activating

Did they replace the IAT that was throwing a code?

Come to find out when I picked up the truck, they determined they tripped the IAT code. I have never seen the code tripped before bringing in the truck. They where able to test the functionality of the IAT with the scanner and it tested good. I cleaned it out after getting the truck back and put back in the original intake. See how she does next weekend when I am back up north.

It is, just crank it.
It's for Emissions and below 5°F.
Otherwise not needed.

Put the original air intake back in the truck and with the cleaned IAT, the truck is still stumbling and blowing white smoke. I have a new IAT coming this week, see if that fixes the issue. I will be back up north this weekend. Guess I will just start throwing parts at it until something fixes it. :-(

Instead of throwing parts get a compression test done and have the injectors tested by a reputable shop.

Did you ever find the issue? I am having identical issue on my 2016 Ram. I believe its the IAT or my programming affecting it. No way injector issues are only present on intermittent starts and then run fine the rest of the time.
