I am a new member and this is my first post. The first accesory I want to add is an A-pillar dual pod guage mount. I am looking for the most sanitary mount I can get "I do have speakers on the A-pillar", would also like guages that match the guages in the dash of my 98. 5 ISB as best possible, if you know of a link it would help. I saw a thread a while back about having custom A-pillars made, did that happen?

I got the combination guage set from Geno's for my boost and egt. It comes with a great mounting bracket that fits right over the A pillar. I also bought a small can of spray paint from my dealer and this piece now matches exactly with my interior color. It is put on with four small phillips head screws on each corner but I think they look fine. Geno's also provided some great technical support - mainly to calm my nerves about drilling holes in my exhaust manifold and intake plenum. Hope this helps.

I also have the speaker there and the piece fits right above it. The guage can be wired so that the intensity of the light is driven by the existing dash light guage and matches perfectly. The light also comes with a red filter if you wanted to set it off from the rest of your dash lights. Hope this helps.

CJ:
There's a TON of info on gauges in past threads. I believe Rob Spading was going to look into purchasing the pillar mount you inquired about and then selling it through Geno's Garage. Suggest you e-mail him for an update.

On another note, I've owned both types of gauges: the Westach "Combo" gauge sold by Geno's and the individual gauges. Buy the individual gauges... there is NO comparison between the two. The single combo gauge contains two needles each covering about a 120 degree arc. The information on the separate gauges displays itself on a 270 degree arc... a major difference! You do a lot of squinting with the Combo and you can never be sure of the exact reading because there's too much info in too small an area. On the other hand, the other gauge make for easy reading. If you want to monitor what's going on in your engine, do it with gauges that can be easily read. That my $. 02 worth.

I'm trying to mount an Isspro egt gage preturbo using TST instructions but without welding the 11/16ths steel spacer to the manifold to thread the sensor into. It seems if I drill/tap/thread direct, the sensor probe (1&11/16ths" long) will bottom out on the backside of the manifold! At the very least it seems too long to work the way it was designed. HELP? Do I have to pull the manifold off and have the spacer welded on???

Hey guys want to Know the answere? It's not what I wanted to hear from Isspro, but I was sold the wrong sensing unit for my application - pre-turbo mount. On the pigtails from the sensor the pt# should be R6508(shorter probe/not pressed on yet);not R650S(which is permanently pressed on@1-11/16th's")Bummer, wish people would sell me what i need the 1st time as i bought this at the TDR rally in Long Beach 550mi away. Any other idea's? #ad
more freight i guess #ad
