I recieved my isspro boost/pyro guages yesterday evening. I installed the pyro last night and I have some questions. I know I've read this before, but what's a good temp. to shut down on? Around 300? I made a 20 mile test run between 60-70 mph after the installation. After I returned home it was a matter of seconds and the guage dropped to just below 300. Is this normal? I was surprised that the temp dropped so quickly. This morning, before I started her up, the guage was showing a reading of about 100. Is that normal? The boost guage is going in tonight. What are some normal boost readings? I'm sure most of this has been covered already and I apologize for bringing it up again. I just want to make sure my guages are working correctly. Thanks in advance.

Bull,

You'll see some swings in those reading depending on how you drive, outside temp, etc...

Yes, shut down at around 300 (post turbo temp - you didn't mention where your probe is... . if it's pre turbo, it needs to be below 300). If I drive on level ground, conservatively and empty and it's cold outside then my motor may cool down fairly quickly also. I live on top of a hill (so I'm climing a decent grade for 3 miles) so when I get home (empty), and it's cool outside it may take 2-3 min. When it's 100 degrees outside, it'll take longer (4-5 min).
Your start up temp seems a little high to me... my temp. guages usually read the same as the outside temperature if I've left the truck sit overnight.

As far as boost numbers - since you have an ETC engine you should see a max boost of 21 psi (assuming your engine is stock).

Have fun with it all!
