Can someone help me with any post on headliner removal for a 2nd Gen. when I do a search all I find are for 3rd Gen. I bought Recon roof lights any tips would be great.

I'm not aware of any threads on the topic, but the headliner removal is not that difficult ( I have done them several times). Basically all the trim pieces have to come off, and most of them are screwed on; then the headliner itself has two plastic pins holding the center in and it just comes out. I had the front seats out when I removed the headliner, which made removal much easier for me as it is a tight fit, but I was told it will come out with the seats all the way to the rear and reclined. The only difficult part to me was figuring out how to remove the coat hangers without damaging them. They need to be slightly pried apart with a thin blade, then the bottom part slides sideways and the whole thing comes out. Almost broke one trying to figure it out.

Agree this is not hard. I'd recommend pulling both the front seats out - it's not that hard and gives you a whole lot of room. And I found it to be a bit of a challenge to get the headliner back in once I'd turned it around a couple times and lost the "just so" way it had came out. Yours will probably be a LOT easier with the rear door to open that mine doesn't have.
